A Cute Flashback to 2013

 

Danika and Everett back in 2013, but they’ve grown quite a bit since this photo. Everett definitely wouldn’t let Danika sit on his lap today. Though, depending on her mood, Danika still occasionally tries to sprawl across her brother. 

This moment sticks with me because it marked a small but significant breakthrough. Everett had a tough time adjusting to no longer being the only child, especially with a baby sister who demanded so much of our attention. This was one of the first moments where he got to show some affection and love for his sister. 

And after that? They never had any issues again...
