A Giant Happy Birthday to the Most Amazing Wife and Mom in All the Land

There is a scene late in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe where I, as Mr. Beaver, save the life of Mrs. Beaver, as played by Emily, by killing the evil Dwarf. She then runs into my arms where we embrace, I give her a kiss, and tell her, 'I love you.' It was one of my favourite moments in the play because I got to use genuine emotion, show heartfelt affection toward my wife, and I am a hero to the love of my life.

A priceless treasure that has been unearthed from doing theatre with my family has been the glowing reminder I love spending time with Emily and we are really good together. In that moment on the stage. I am overcome with emotion as I pour my heart and soul into that embrace and those words. I am saying it to a female beaver, but the power is coming from how I feel about my wife.

There are a few things in this world that I am really good at, but one of the best is choosing my life partner. Emily makes me laugh, Emily encourages and pushes me to be better. Emily makes amazing cakes. Emily crafts wonderful Halloween costumes. Emily takes our family on adventures. Emily is a master cook. Emily shows her constant and unshakeable love through her countless daily actions to make our house run and our family better.

She is my best friend.

She is the love of my life.

She is the mom to my beloved children.

She is the treasure of the Spicer family.

I hope for many more opportunities to be a hero in her life and to show how much she means to this family and me.

Happy Birthday, Emily. I love you.

And I told him to stay down!
