From the Man Who Gave Us the "Pete's Dragon" Remake

A Ghost Story looks like one of the most drastically different follow-ups from a director that I've seen. Much kudos to David Lowery trying something quirky and unique right after a big family feature like Pete's Dragon. I really liked his ability to make a gentle and tender big summer movie last year, and I am very interested in seeing how he handles this movie. The story about a recently deceased husband returning to his wife as a white sheeted ghost is likely to be too odd to rake in the statuettes, but the festival praise and a stellar cast of Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck makes this a must see.
