Scott and I return with yet another podcast on film. This time we're trying something different. Mockbuster vs. Blockbuster. What does that mean? Well, let me tell you.
It will be a series where we pit an Asylum knock-off film against the big budget Hollywood counterpart. Asylum has made a steady profit making cheap rip offs from the current major blockbuster films. I call it the "confused grandparent" strategy, where they hope some poor schmuck will accidentally pick their film because the title and poster looks similar. They're also a big hit among those that love B film schlock.
We wanted to see if the cheap little knock-off is a better film than the glossy big budget extravaganza it is copying. It is David vs. Goliath. It is George McFly against Biff Tannen. It is Mockbuster vs. Blockbuster.
But will the little guy win this time? Find out in our latest podcast.
As always, please share it with others if you enjoy the podcast. We welcome all comments and feedback.
