Are Books Always Better Than the Movie?

It is one of the most common phrases I hear after someone watches a movie based off a book: "The book was better." But is it always true? Well, today's Collective Publishing article doesn't seem to agree with this statement. I pick out a few movies that were definitely better than the book they were adapted from. In some cases, the book was really good, but the movie just captured the story so much better. Or at least, that is what I am claiming.
